        Jiangsu IP Publicity Week 2020 Kicks off

        On April 20, 2020, the opening ceremony of Jiangsu IP Publicity Week 2020 and the inauguration ceremony of the Institute of New Structural Economics & Intellectual Property were held in Jiangbei New Area of Nanjing. Zhi Suping, director of the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province, Luo Qun, member of the Standing Committee of Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and full-time deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jiangbei New Area, Bao Hongxin, deputy secretary-general of Nanjing Municipal People's Government, and Wang Wenjian, member of the Party Committee of Xinhua Daily Media Group and chief editor of Yangtse Evening Post, jointly touched the launching ball to kick-start the Jiangsu IP Publicity Week 2020.

        In addition, the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province will hold other activities during the IP publicity week, such as "IP Brand Service Agencies Traveling to Central and Northern Jiangsu" and patent administrative law enforcement carried out jointly by provincial, municipal, and county law enforcement authorities. The Office will also promote the publicity week through public-interest IP ads placement in the public transport system and intensified media coverage. WeChat, Weibo, news apps, and other new media will be used to further cover the IP publicity week and improve public participation through various forms, such as launching ceremonies of various IP activities, press conferences, knowledge contests, speech contests, special lectures, and programs to enhance IP services for enterprises.

        The event was attended by more than 80 people, including representatives of members of the Leading Group for the Implementation of IP and Trademark Strategies of Jiangsu Province, representatives of members of the Leading Group for Building Nanjing into a Strong IP City, representatives of the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Intellectual Property Office, Jiangbei New Area, and the Institute, and journalists.
