To advance the rule of law in intellectual property and give full play to the advisory role of experts and scholars in making major intellectual property decisions, the JSIPO recently hired a group of experts and scholars as its senior advisors and held an appointment ceremony.
The 21 experts, all from the Intellectual Property Law Association of the China Law Society, have long been engaged in intellectual property law research and practices with considerable theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience. They will provide advice on JSIPO's policy-making to help it perform its duties in accordance with the law.
JSIPO Director Zhi Suping presented letters of appointment to the experts. She said that hiring intellectual property experts and scholars as JSIPO's advisors is an important step in thoroughly implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law and accelerate the development of a government of law. It will help modernize JSIPO's system and capability for law-based intellectual property governance, improve its scientific, democratic, and law-based decision-making, and provide support for local intellectual property legislation, administrative law enforcement, and strategic planning.
